Redlands Photographer | Bryan: Head Shots
Bryan is crazy. Yeah, I just went there.
But really though. Bryan is that kind of friend that you may not have seen him in a year but when you meet up again, life just keeps rolling along. Like no time has passed at all. Bryan lives in New York and has been for the last 2 years. 2 years! That's just nuts!
He's just about the best character actor you've ever seen. You should see him as LeFou in Beauty and the Beast. It was like the part was made for him. We shot these the same time we shot Michelle so it was fun to find new angles in the same place.
Come back soon Bryan!
This is what happens when you don't give him any direction

But You Gotta Have Frieeeeeeends!
Once upon a time, I worked for a School of Music. It was one of the best jobs ever. 8 - 5, no real stress and I got to hang out with my peeps... the music peeps. I thought I had met some great people when I was in school but I really met my friends when I worked there. One of those friends was Bryan. Bryan is crazy. Everything thinks of him as this off-the-wall guy who just runs around like a chicken with its head cut off. But really, he's great. He's a good guy, really funny and extremely talented.
Then Michelle. Michelle was the first girl friend that I've had that I've never felt competition with. We just complement each other. There's no bad-talking, no rivalries, nothing. It's really fun to have a friend like her. Plus, she's a soprano and I'm an alto... thus, no competition for parts in shows ;)
When they came to visit last week, I knew we were going to have a good time. I was right... AND my expectations were surpassed. We stuffed ourselves silly, ran around shopping and danced and sang all around Redlands.
Want to see?
I made Michelle and Bryan act like a couple so I could work on posing.
Cute right? Then they did this...
Of course I had to get in on the fun.
I don't even want to tell you what Bryan was singing to cause this reaction.
We can be calm and sweet once in awhile. The Three Muskateers struck again in Redlands!

Redlands Photographer | Victor: Head Shots
Sometimes people come into your life and you think, "How did I not know you sooner?" Victor is one of these people. We have a ton of mutual friends but we didn't meet until last October when we were cast in the same Christmas musical. Victor is the bomb dot com. (Yeah, I just said that) This guy can laugh and everyone around him just starts laughing too, even when they don't know what's so funny. As we were shooting, a complete stranger came up and told him, "You have the best laugh!" It's so true.
Victor, (or boo-boo... whatever!) you are just awesome and I think your personality just shines in front of a camera. Let's do this again soon, yes?

Redlands Photographer| Michelle: Head Shots
Y'all don't know how lucky you are... you're about to meet my very best friend in the whole wide world. Sounds very "2nd grade" doesn't it? Well, it's true.
Michelle lives in Vegas and teaches Kindergarten. How perfect is that? She's ready to move back to Redlands but is going to stick around Vegas just a liiiiittle bit longer. But can you imagine the crazy fun we'll have when she's back? Oh yes, it will be epic.
Michelle is an incredible actor. The reason we met was because we were both cast in "Beauty and the Beast" together her junior year of college. I was the feather duster and she was Chip! Perfect, right? Oh the stories we could tell you.
Thanks for being a great sport, Michelle... come back soon!

Laguna Beach Photographer | Anytime Session: Katie and Merrick
The internet is a crazy crazy place. One minute you could be spammed questionable emails from a Nigerian prince and the next minute, you could be getting a sweet email from a blog reader. This particular blog reader's name is Katie. She asked if I could take pictures of her and her husband, Merrick. They are about to celebrate their two-year anniversary (woot! 2009 brides unite!) and they thought taking them in Laguna Beach would be a fun idea.
Not only was it fun but it was FABULOUS. I've never seen a couple that was so comfortable in front of a camera. As Katie said, "Everyone likes pictures of themselves, right?" A girl after my own heart. Katie and Merrick have the honor (although the honor was mine) of being the first people I photographed that I had never met before.
As we were walking down to the beach to start our session, Katie gave me the run down about how she chose their outfits for the day. We were heading down the stairs when a flock of seagulls flew overhead and bombed Merrick. Poor Merrick! We trooped on and they really rose above it all.
You would have thought these two were newly engaged. They are so in love and full of laughs. They really thrive in Laguna Beach and why wouldn't they? It was a gorgeous day, so different from their native Michigan.
Thank you both for being awesome and for being great sports. Hope to see you again soon!
They made sure I didn't get hit by any cars!
